This year, my family from the coast came down to spend Christmas at our house. It’s been a great few days getting to see them all for the holiday season! We spent our Christmas Eve eating appetizers, playing games, and getting new Christmas pyjamas. On Christmas Day, we always have a big brunch and traditional turkey dinner!
I have been waiting for months to take these photos! I was inspired by Brandon Woelfel – because he is amazing – and I figured Christmas was a good time to pull out the fairy lights. It definitely took us a few tries to figure the lights, but I think they turned out!
We ended up having to go back a few days later and try again when it wasn’t as bright out with some brighter lights. Apparently small lights don’t really work in the middle of the day 🤷🏼♀️. We tried a few before we realized it wasn’t going to work and I was really only getting snow blown in my face 😂.
Do you ever just look back at pictures after a shoot and realize that 95% of your photos look exactly the same? That was me today haha I think I need some new poses 😂.
For my hair, I did a style that I thought would make a pretty Christmas or New Year’s Eve hairstyle. I did a bunch of twisted flips and a few braids going through on each side. It’s super simple, but it looks so much more complex than it actually is!
A tutorial was supposed to be posted on my Youtube channel for this style, buuuuuuut I didn’t quite get it done in time 🤷🏼♀️. It’ll be done for New Year’s though… hopefully 😂.
I hope you all are having a wonderful day with family and friends! See you in the New Year! 🎉
